WHY TOOJ?
My father’s successful textile buying agency was an inspiration for TOOJ. His vision and business acumen laid down the foundation of TOOJ during those days.
His passing away due to Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphomatic cancer was not only shocking but also left me wondering as to how to take his legacy to the next level of success. However, I was determined to follow my father’s footstep and soon I found my way into the leather industry.
My passion of leather industry started during the last years of my father’s work when he was working with a couple of international clients. I was involved with my father to serve some interesting USA and EU clients having unique requirement of leather wear which opened my eyes and I decided to come up with something that is different from the rest of the players offering in the market. However, I was waiting for the right time to jump into the bandwagon to make my mark.
The leather industry in Pakistan and abroad is an overly crowded market offering very expensive leather jackets through conventional and/or online sales channel seemed. The piling inventory stacks were not a good
idea to invest in but I was pretty sure there is a smarter way of doing business in this highly competitive but extremely innovative industry.

We have decided to keep the choices minimum for the customer with limited colors so that we don’t confuse our customers. WHY PAKISTAN?
PAKISTAN is considered to be the hub of producing high quality Leather and Leather Products, and there are about 800 Tanneries in the country actively engaged in producing best quality finished leather of Cow, Buffalo, Sheep & Goat skins. Pakistan has a large livestock population which plays an important role in the economy of Pakistan by producing around
13.0 Million Hides and 47.4 Million Skins per annum. The type of sheep skins we have in Pakistan is better in respect of grain, substance and compactness of fibers.
THE EID CONNECTION!
Pakistan is Islamic republic democrat country having a
population count approx. 250 million. All Muslims have Eid-ul Adha’s religious festival once a year where they slaughter/sacrifice minimum one animals that could be either Cow, Buffalo, Goat or Sheep
on that day. Every Muslim has a deepened wish to sacrifice most beautiful and the healthiest animal on that day. Tanneries in Pakistan fulfill almost 60% to 80%
of their total year raw materials need at the easiest way to buy. However, a large number of skins get damaged and loose their grain because of sun/heat and
unprofessional handling of the raw skins. This is not only a loss to the country in terms of revenue earned by selling these skins, but it is also a source of environmental pollution as these rotten skins become of source of spreading diseases across the country.
We are determined to change the situation at hand and help the country reduce pollution by making use of these skins to offer premium quality products to our esteemed customers.
